1. Volunteer Support Liaison
Closing date: November 12, 2018

Peace Corps Botswana seeks to hire one highly competent Volunteer Support Liaison (VSL) with strong familiarity with Peace Corps, to provide Volunteer support to all Peace Corps trainees and Volunteers (PCT/Vs) serving in country, support integration of PCT/Vs into their communities and workplaces, and assist with other tasks and projects that will improve the quality of the Peace Corps Botswana program overall.

QUALIFICATIONS
:
Education:
College degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Prior Work Experience:
Three years of experience working in a multicultural environment, and on multicomponent adult training and development projects. Must be a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer with minimum of three years since completing service. Should be able to demonstrate collaborative and respectful engagement with colleagues of a variety of backgrounds and nationalities.
Language Proficiency: Advanced English proficiency (reading and writing) required; understanding of Setswana preferred.

2. Program Assistant II
Closing date: November 12, 2018

REMUNERATATION:
BWP 187,861 basic salary per year; annual performance-based increases possible. Please note: Gaborone-based housing and transportation to/from Botswana is not provided.

Peace Corps Botswana seeks to hire oneProgramming Assistant II to work under the Director of Programming and Training to provide administrative support to Programming Staff. Specific duties include: a) Providing administrative and secretarial support, b) Assisting with records management, c) Back up POC for VIDA, d) Back up for processing Volunteer leave and e) Back-up Programming and Training Coordinator as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: University degree; (master’s degree in Health, Management, Education or another related field preferred).
WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years’ experience in related field or professional experience in adult education or training.
KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of non-formal training and experience conducting training using these methods; understanding of participatory development advantageous. Knowledge of U. S. Peace Corps desired but not required
LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge and proficiency, written and oral, in English and at least one local language is required.
The candidate must be computer literate, including typing, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency. Candidates may be tested for competency in any of the above areas during the selection process.
OTHER: Successful completion of background and security clearance checks required. Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record preferred but not required.

3. Programming and Training Coordinator

REMUNERATATION:

Peace Corps Botswana seeks to hire one highly competent Program and Training Coordinator (PTC) who will provide administrative support to program and training operations as well as help manage and train Volunteers as to ensure Volunteers are fulfilling agreed upon development objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· University degree (Master’s degree in Health, Management, or Education or similar field preferred)
· Minimum three years’ experience in related field and/or experience in adult education or training. Must have experience working with basic Microsoft Office software.
· Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention, non-formal training and experience conducting training using these methods; understanding of participatory development advantageous.
· Good working knowledge and proficiency, written and oral, in English and at least one local language is required.
· Must be computer literate, typing, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency. Candidates may be tested for competency in any of the above areas during the selection process.

4. Driver
Closing date: November 12, 2018

REMUNERATATION:
BWP 95,118 basic salary per year; annual performance-based increases possible. Please note: Gaborone-based housing and transportation to/from Botswana is not provided.

Peace Corps Botswana seeks to hire one Driver to Provides safe and courteous transport for staff, Volunteers and other personnel conducting official Peace Corps business, Transports trainees and Volunteers to their sites or training facilities and coordinate with the local officials in regard to facilitate settling-in of PCV’s and trainees. Serves as Driver Duty Officer when scheduled. Picks up/delivers mail, faxes, documents, and packages to/from post office, the American Embassy, customs office, or other designated sites on a daily or as needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· EDUCATION: Completion of secondary education
· WORK EXPERIENCE: At least five years’ experience driving professionally for an institution or organization
· KNOWLEDGE: Experience in automotive repair, household and general maintenance, desired but not required
· LANGUAGE: Level IV (fluency written and spoken) English and Setswana
· OTHER: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Successful completion of background and security clearance checks required.
