Coca-Cola Botswana | Financial Accountant

The primary role of the Financial Accountant is to provide deep financial expertise and knowledge across the financial accounting accountabilities. The GL Accountant, Accounts Payable Accountant, Cashbook Accountant and Debtors Team Lead will report into this role.

Accountability 1- Balance Sheet & asset accounting, including budgeting and forecasting
• Plan and manage the annual and 5 year budgeting process- Done in partnership with and per the timelines Of the Group Office
• Plan and manage the balance sheet commentary and reporting process
• Provide insightful, timeous financial reporting
• Overall process management of approved capital investments
• Review and control of balance sheet reconciliation process
• Custodianship of the fixed asset governance process as agreed with the Governance and Risk Manager
• Mange and plan fixed asset verification and reconciliation
• Oversee completion of the financial hard close reporting requirements

Accountability 2-Specialist activities:
• Deliver the Working Capital objectives
• Manages and ensures that customer collection targets are met, reduce the company's risks and minimise losses
• Manage and deliver the Accounts payable & Procure to Pay processes with the operational teams including the performance reporting and query resolution
• Manage and deliver internal control systems
• Relevant financial and taxation legislation compliance
• Ensure CCBB Treasury mandates and strategies are executed and complied with
Tax accounting: ensuring tax mandates and strategies are executed and delivered
• Manage the Import and Export process, including complete compliance and timely execution of legislative requirements

• Strong knowledge on statutory requirements

• Degree in accounting and finance, qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA and member of BICA
• 5-10 years in accounting or auditing environment, FMCG experience an added advantage
• Experience in managing policies and the chart of accounts
• Strong knowledge on statutory requirements
