Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) | Finance Clerk

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the position will be responsible for:
· Timely processing of accounting transactions
· Assist in managing cashbook including timely processing of payments and receipts
· Perform bank reconciliations in accordance with BTO regulations and standard accounting practices to ensure accurate accounting for all financial transactions

· Timely preparation and processing of both local and foreign suppliers payments
· Screens and verifies accounting related data and documents
· Petty cash maintenance and management
· Assist in the preparation and posting of Journal entries
· Assist with month end closing
· Posting of payments and receipts in the Cashbook
· Responsible for daily backup of the ACCPAC Accounting system
· Coding and processing of suppliers invoices in the Accounts payable module
· Prepares monthly creditors reconciliations and updating of accounts payable ledger
· Compilation of WHT and PAYE and ensure timely remittance to BURS
· Timely filing of financial documents
· Assist in all other areas of finance as may be required from time to time


· B.Com; Degree in Accounting or AAT
· Part qualification in ACCA, CIMA, CA will be an added advantage
· Knowledge and experience in ACCPAC or similar Accounting system is a must
· 2 to 3 years’ experience in a financial accounting environment
